An open platform for public sector transformation

Lithuania treats energy not just as a climate or technology issue, but as a foundation for security. Its strategy rests on two principles: independence from politically risky suppliers, and a credible path to renewable power. That has driven the push for energy independence, from the Klaipėda LNG terminal to desynchronising from the BRELL grid. Renewables are scaling fast, too: their share of domestic electricity consumption has risen to 50% in five years, and the country is on track for 100% by 2028.
