Starting January 1, 2025, Vilnius Airport will officially be named “Vilnius Čiurlionis International Airport” in honour of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, one of Lithuania’s most distinguished cultural figures. The renaming commemorates the 150th anniversary of Čiurlionis’ birth and highlights his enduring influence on Lithuanian and global art. The symbolic name, approved by the Lithuanian government, will remain in effect until December 31, 2029.
