Eurimages Grant Supports Director Laurynas Bareiša‘s Latest Film

The Eurimages film support fund of the European Council has announced its backing for 29 projects receiving financial aid. Among the supported projects is director Laurynas Bareiša’s film ‘Sisters‘ (produced by Klementina Remeikaitė).

The new director’s film received €150,000 in support from the Eurimages fund and is being developed in collaboration with Latvia.

Also featured in the list of funded projects is the collaborative film ‘Creature of Darkness‘, a joint production between Finland, Lithuania, and France, directed by Hanna Bergholm and Lithuanian producer Artūras Dvinelis, which received €475,000 in support.

During this Eurimages session, a total of 29 feature film projects, including 7 documentaries and 3 animated films, received support. An overall sum of €8,130,000 was allocated for these projects.

Established in 1988, Eurimages is the European Council’s film support fund aimed at promoting collective film production, distribution, and exhibition across European countries. Thirty-six member states participate in the fund’s activities, with Lithuania becoming a member in 2007.
