Teltonika Commences Construction of New Electronics Assembly Plant in Vilnius

Teltonika, the esteemed Lithuanian high-tech group, has embarked on the construction of a state-of-the-art electronics assembly plant in Vilnius. A significant milestone was marked on December 14th as a symbolic time capsule, bearing a message for future generations, was buried in the foundation of the building.

This commencement represents not only Teltonika’s rapid development but also its significant contribution to fortifying high-tech innovation within Lithuania. According to Aušrinė Armonaitė, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, the initiation of this construction will elevate Lithuania’s reputation as a supplier of unique and innovative digital products globally.

Spanning three floors and encompassing an impressive 22.7 thousand square meters, the new Teltonika factory is designed meticulously. The ground and second floors will house 10 electronic assembly lines, 20 testing lines, 4 packaging lines, a modern robotic warehouse, and cutting-edge laboratories. The third floor will accommodate administrative facilities, complemented by around 300 car parking spaces adjacent to the A++ energy-efficient building.

Arvydas Paukštys, the Founder and President of the Teltonika Group, expressed his anticipation, stating, “We’re building a new electronics assembly plant that will surpass the combined size of our existing Vilnius and Molėtai facilities. Doubling our production lines over the next few years will not only meet our growth requirements but is projected to escalate our annual turnover from €1 billion to €2 billion by 2026.”

Situated within the Teltonika High-Tech Hill Technology Park in Liepkalnis, this ambitious endeavour is poised to generate 700 job opportunities and manufacture over 18 million IoT products annually. Expected completion is set for early 2025, representing an investment of approximately €75 million by the Teltonika Group.

Furthermore, this project is part of an extensive plan for the Teltonika High-Tech Hill Technology Park, encompassing the construction of 10 additional industrial and administrative buildings over five years, with an estimated employment potential of 6,000 individuals. The ongoing construction of a printed circuit board factory, slated for completion by the end of 2024 with an investment of nearly €143 million, further underscores the group’s commitment. The collective investment in the Teltonika High-Tech Hill Technology Park is anticipated to reach an impressive €3.7 billion.

Teltonika stands as a rapidly expanding Lithuanian high-tech entity, operating in 21 countries worldwide with a workforce of approximately 2,500 professionals. Renowned for pioneering technologies and unmatched expertise in design and manufacturing, Teltonika is dedicated to delivering secure, top-tier IoT devices.
