At the FIRST Global Challenge 2025 held in Panama, the Lithuanian team claimed the silver medal, proudly earning the title of vice-champions. Once again, Lithuania’s students have proven that our young people are not only creative and ambitious but also stand out brightly on the global technology map. It is an impressive achievement that reminds us: the limits of a small country end where great dreams begin.

The silver-winning team “Lituanica X” was composed of Agnė Silevičiūtė, Eglė Rupeikytė, Dainius Užusienis, Julius Augustaitis, Nida Kirdulytė, and Tadas Morkūnas. For several months, these young creators from Lithuania immersed themselves in a journey full of challenges and discoveries – designing, building, and programming a robot capable of tackling complex Olympiad tasks, each year themed around global sustainability issues. With more than 190 countries participating, this silver medal represents not only a technical success but also a remarkable global recognition.
“Lituanica X” is more than just a team – it is a community that brings together young Lithuanian engineers, programmers, and innovators. Their mission goes beyond competition: they share knowledge, inspire one another, and nurture the next generation of technology creators. This year’s silver victory was also made possible through collaboration with the teams Magis, Plumbum, and Vilnius Lyceum Robotics – a great example of how young talents from different schools and cities can unite for a common goal.
Following their gold medal victory in 2022 in Switzerland, this year in Panama the “Lituanica X” team once again climbed the podium – this time adorned with silver. The team has once again proven that perseverance, knowledge, and teamwork can lead to the very top of the world stage. This triumph is not only the shine of a medal but a true symbol of pride in Lithuania’s youth.
