Cast AI Becomes Lithuania’s Latest Unicorn After Strategic Investment Pushes Valuation Past USD 1 Billion

Cast AI, a cloud infrastructure automation and cost-optimization company with strong operational roots in Lithuania, has officially reached unicorn status after securing a strategic investment from Pacific Alliance Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of South Korea’s Shinsegae Group. While the exact investment amount remains undisclosed, the funding round has pushed the company’s valuation beyond USD 1 billion.

This milestone places Cast AI among the world’s elite billion-dollar startups and makes it Lithuania’s fifth unicorn, according to the national startup association Unicorns Lithuania.

From Vilnius to the World

Although Cast AI was founded in the United States in 2020, its largest engineering center has always been in Vilnius, where the company develops its core product and employs a significant share of its workforce.

Gabija Marganavičė, Head of Human Resources at Cast AI, emphasized the importance of the Lithuanian team:
“The technical talent and culture of innovation here have helped us create a platform trusted by global companies – from Bangalore to Tel Aviv and New York.”

Today, Cast AI employs more than 300 people across over 30 countries, with approximately one quarter of the workforce based in Vilnius. The company has confirmed plans to continue expanding its Lithuanian team.

Rapid Growth and Global Expansion

Cast AI’s rise had already attracted industry attention following its $108 million Series C funding round in 2025, the largest investment secured by a Lithuanian startup that year. This round brought the company’s valuation close to the billion-dollar threshold and laid the groundwork for further expansion.

Following the funding, Cast AI strengthened its global footprint by establishing offices and subsidiaries in London, Bengaluru, New York, Tel Aviv, and other major technology hubs worldwide.

Part of a Growing Ecosystem

Cast AI now joins a distinguished group of Lithuanian technology unicorns, including Vinted, Nord Security, Baltic Classifieds Group, and Flo Health. Together, these companies highlight Lithuania’s growing influence in the global technology and startup ecosystem.
