To become a recognized regional leader of life sciences, Lithuania must shout loudly to be heard. However, though our daily tasks may include tackling global problems like human health or climate change, a nation of only 2.7 million people don’t like to be in a spotlight. In a global marketplace of fierce competition, this charming national trait might easily become a dangerous weakness.

It is therefore vital that we put Lithuania’s life sciences on the world map and promote it as the innovation sandbox for bringing disruptive solutions to life. This task should involve not only the government in collaboration with industry, but also a wide range of other stakeholders, including global Lithuanians.
