As Young As Vilnius Music Festival

On 25 July, which is the feast day of St Christopher, the patron saint of Vilnius, Vilnius will become a unique international music arena. Why are trumpets sounding, drums beating and electric guitars cutting through the air? It’s just Vilnius, celebrating its anniversary in style! 💥
Programme for the Young Like Vilnius music festival in Vingis Park:
17:00 | The festival gates open. Throughout the park, there will be various activities for children and adults alike, as well as food zones and educational workshops. All of the festival concerts will be FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE.

Part I | The festival will get under way with a true extravaganza – a concert performed by the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre symphony orchestra with Edgaras Montvidas, Kostas Smoriginas, Ieva PrudnikovaitÄ— and AušrinÄ— StundytÄ—. Part II | The evening of Lithuanian duets to kick off. More than 10 of Lithuania’s best-known artists and bands will be performing in duets especially for this event: Monika Liu with Benas AleksandraviÄŤius (ba.), Jessica Shy with Igoris Kofas, Vaidas Baumila with Aleksandras Ivanauskas-Fara, Gabrielius Vagelis with Monika LinkytÄ—, Mantas JankaviÄŤius with Evgenya Redko, Algirdas KaušpÄ—das with ,,KamaniĹł Ĺ ilelis” and others. The duets will perform both popular songs much loved by the audience and newly reinterpreted legendary pieces of music.
Part III | Evening to Culminate with Concerts by Popular Foreign Bands Bastille and Clean Bandit
One of the most sought-after bands of European music festivals – British Bastille – will play at the free Young Like Vilnius festival! The London quartet’s hits “Pompeii”, “Good Grief”, “Of The Night”, “Things We Lost in the Fire” and other songs have conquered the hearts of fans around the world. The energetic, instantly enthusiastic musicians and the girls’ favourite, vocalist Dan Smith, also captivate the audience with their creative lyrics with hints of mythology and cult films.

The festival Young Like Vilnius will also feature a performance by the British electronic music band Clean Bandit! Many fans get up and go to bed with their hits like “Rather Be”, “Rockabye”, “Symphony”, “Solo”, “Tick Tock”, etc. The fusion of classical and electronic music, the use of compositions by composers such as Mozart and Beethoven in dance hits and the presence of guest singers such as Demi Lovato, Jess Glynne, Zara Larsson and Ellie Goulding have made the band world-famous.

“Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble” will also perform at the festival among the main concerts. Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble is a jazz orchestra led by a Lithuanian composer Jievaras Jasinskis. The ensemble released their debut album “American Stories” in 2022, with an LP release in February 2023. Original compositions were written by Jievaras Jasinskis and Liutauras Janušaitis. In January 2023, the ensemble presented the saxophone group’s album “Saxcess”, orchestra’s third album “Deadly dance” was released in June, 2023, with an LP set to be released in 2024. Right now the ensemble is writing new material for their upcoming album Rave’n’Jazz.
In 2022, Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble became director’s D. Ulvydas movie-concert performers and musicians in “Vilniaus Pokeris” movie based on R. Gavelis book. The ensemble became the flag-bearers of Vilnius’ 700th birthday and together with Vilnius City Municipality gave the city of Vilnius an unforgettable live music performance.
The masters of ceremonies will be Ignas KrupaviÄŤius and GabrielÄ— Martirosian.
